Introduction

In this lesson you will learn how to create a G/L account.
The process will include using the SAP menu or the transactional code FS00.
When creating the account you will learn how to use the toolbar, input fields, lookup values, etc.

Using the SAP menu

» Expand the node Accounting
» Expand the node Financial Accounting
» Expand the node General Ledger
» Expand the node Master Records
» Expand the node G/L Accounts
» Expand the node Individual Processing
» Double click on the node Centrally

Using transactional code

Instead of using the SAP menu you may use the transaction code 'FS00' instead
» Click the button Back on the toolbar
» Click on the button SAP menu
» Click on the transaction code field on the toolbar
» Enter the text FS00.
» Click the button Enter on the toolbar

General account information

» Click on the text field G/L Account No. and delete the content
» Enter the text 110031.
» Click on the text field Company Code and delete the content
» Click on the search button to the right of Company Code
» Click on the label MC, Oil Company Ltd., Copenhagen
» Click the button Copy on the toolbar
» Click on the button Create
» Select the tab named Type/description
» Open the combo box Account group
» Select the value Liquid funds accounts from the list (Keyvalue CASH)
» Click on radio button Balance sheet account
» Click on the text field Short text and delete the content
» Enter the text Cash.
» Click on the text field G/L acct long text and delete the content
» Enter the text Cash.

Control data

» Select the tab named Control data
» Click on the text field Account currency and delete the content
» Click on the search button to the right of Account currency
» Click on the label DKK, Danish Krone
» Click the button Copy on the toolbar
» Click on the check box Only balances in local crcy
» Click on the check box Line item display
» Click on the text field Sort key and delete the content
» Click on the search button to the right of Sort key
» Click on the label 001, Posting date
» Click the button Copy on the toolbar

Cash flow setting

» Select the tab named Create/bank/interest
» Click on the text field Field status group and delete the content
» Click on the search button to the right of Field status group
» Click on the label G001, General (with text, allocation)
» Click the button Copy on the toolbar
» Click on the check box Relevant to cash flow

Validate and save

» Click the button Continue on the toolbar
We choose to cancel the creation in this demonstration.
Normally you should click on the SAVE button!
» Click the button Cancel on the toolbar
» Click on the button No
